A television executive once told me, "You're a noisy writer." She was talking about my work and I'm pretty sure she meant it as a compliment.
Listen. That's how I remember it and no one is here to refute. And the way I see it, noise is a quality-over-quantity kind of thing. Across every context and industry, I've found the best work is about human beings telling stories to other human beings about being human. When we connect through simple stories, we're making all the noise we need.
