A television executive once told me, "You're a noisy writer." She was talking about my work and I'm pretty sure she meant it as a compliment.
Listen. That's how I remember it and no one is here to refute. And the way I see it, noise isn't all bad. It doesn't even have to be full-volume to make an impact. It just has to be the right noise at the right time for the right people. I think when we tell simple stories that connect with those people, we're making all the noise we need.
